Photography, film and fun

Although I’d classify my main job as an outcall escort, it’s not the only profession I find myself working in these days. Over the past few years, my life has become a patchwork of different roles and side projects, and escorting – while still my main source of income – now sits alongside a surprisingly varied little portfolio career. Most people imagine escorts living this very one‑dimensional life, but in reality, many of us are juggling multiple interests, passions, and opportunities.

Lingerie Modelling and Photoshoots

One of the things I do quite regularly is photo shoots for one of the lingerie magazines. That side of my work is a whole world of its own. The days usually start early, often in some slightly anonymous studio tucked away in a side street in East London or a converted warehouse in Shoreditch. I arrive with a small suitcase full of my own heels, accessories, and make‑up, ready to be turned into whatever fantasy the creative team has dreamed up that week. There’s always a flurry of activity: stylists fussing over rail upon rail of delicate lace sets, photographers testing lights and angles, make‑up artists laying out brushes and palettes like surgeons preparing for an operation.

It’s interesting work, partly because every shoot feels different. Some days it’s all about glamorous, old‑Hollywood boudoir looks with big hair and deep red lipstick. On other days, the direction is more modern and edgy – sharp eyeliner, wet hair, stark lighting. You never quite know what you’re walking into until the mood board comes out and the team starts explaining the concept. I’ve learned how to pose to flatter the lingerie, how to shift my body ever so slightly to catch the light on the right curve, and how to smile with my eyes even when I’ve been standing in impossibly high heels for hours.

Perks of the Job

One of my favourite parts is that I often get to keep the gorgeous basques and knicker sets once we’re done. It doesn’t happen every time, but quite a lot of the brands are happy to let the models take home a few pieces that have already been worn on set. I like to think of it as a very pleasant perk of the job – my lingerie drawer now looks like a boutique. Silk, lace, satin, little suspender belts in every colour, half‑cup bras with tiny ribbons and intricate embroidery… It’s like having my own private costume department. And of course, many of those pieces end up making an appearance later when I’m with clients.

Seeing Myself in Public

Every now and then, I have these slightly surreal moments of recognition when I’m out and about. I’ll be sitting on the underground, half asleep and people‑watching as the carriage sways along, and I’ll glance up to see someone a little further down reading a magazine with my photo spread across one of the pages. Sometimes it’s a full‑page shot; sometimes it’s a little insert in the corner of an article. Either way, it always makes me want to laugh.

It feels a bit like being a minor film star – as if I’ve stepped sideways into the world of celebrities for a second – although, amusingly, no one ever recognises me. They flick through the magazine, maybe glance at my picture for a moment, then carry on with their day, completely unaware that the woman in the photo is sitting only a few seats away, trying not to stare. I’ve often wondered what I’d do if someone did a double-take suddenly and say, “Hang on, isn’t that you?” So far, it hasn’t happened. Ah well, maybe one day…

Why Escorts Do Photoshoots

What’s funny is that I don’t actually need to do the photo jobs. Escorting pays my bills perfectly well. The shoots are more of a choice than a necessity – a way to express a different side of myself and to enjoy the creative energy of being part of a team. You’ll find that there are a lot of escorts in London who also take on this kind of work. The industries overlap more than people might expect. After all, when magazines and brands are looking for women who are confident in their bodies, who can move comfortably in front of a camera and project sensuality without looking awkward, where better to find them than agencies that already work with glamorous, self‑assured women?

Most of the time, the magazines are specifically after gorgeous girls with amazing bodies and a bit of personality – women who can flirt with the camera the way they might flirt across a table. Agencies dealing with incall escorts or girls who do outcalls are a natural hunting ground for that kind of model. It suits everyone: the magazines get the look they want, and the girls pick up some extra money, exposure, and a few beautiful pieces of lingerie along the way.

Variety Versus Preference

It’s nice to have a bit of variety in your working life. The shoots stretch a different set of muscles – both physically and emotionally. There’s something quite empowering about seeing yourself through a professional photographer’s lens, learning your angles, and watching the raw shots on the monitor between takes. But if I’m honest, my heart still belongs more to the escorting side of what I do.

With photography, there’s a lot of waiting around in draughty studios, wrapped in a dressing gown between outfit changes, sipping lukewarm coffee while the crew adjust the lighting or debates which backdrop to use. Sometimes you can be on your feet all day for just a handful of perfect shots. It’s rewarding, but it can be lonely in its own way – lots of people around, yet not much real connection.

The Pull of Regular Clients

When I’m standing there shivering slightly in my robe, listening to the click of lenses being swapped and the soft hum of studio fans, I keep myself going by thinking ahead to the evening. Maybe I’ll have a booking with one of my regular clients, someone whose company I genuinely enjoy. I’ll picture us sliding into a cosy corner table at the Dorchester, or lingering over cocktails at the Kensington Wine Room, which has become our current favourite haunt. I know he’ll insist on ordering far too much good food and an excellent bottle of wine, and that we’ll spend half the night talking and laughing before the evening drifts into something more intimate.

That anticipation – knowing I have a date later that isn’t just work but also a kind of familiar ritual – makes the long hours in the studio feel worthwhile. Escorting, for me, is far more than just a transaction. It’s the conversations, the shared jokes, the subtle thrill of getting dressed up for someone who genuinely appreciates the effort. There’s a sense of connection and spontaneity that you simply don’t get when you’re posing for a camera.

Friendship and Camaraderie

I also absolutely love meeting up with the girls – the other escorts, that is – whenever the occasion arises. We’re actually a really sociable lot, and in many ways, they feel more like colleagues than competitors. From the outside, people assume that this world must be cut‑throat, all jealousy and rivalry, but it’s really not like that at all. Most of us understand that there are more than enough clients to go around, and that each of us has our own style, our own niche, our own little fan base.

There’s a surprising amount of camaraderie between us. We swap recommendations for restaurants and hotels, compare stories about particularly charming or particularly strange clients, and share tips on everything from comfortable heels to discreet taxi companies. We’ve all seen and heard a lot, so there’s very little shock value left – which means we can talk honestly and laugh about things that would probably make most people’s jaws drop.

When we do manage to get together – usually for drinks, dinner, or the occasional girls’ night in with a bottle of champagne – it’s rarely a quiet affair. Once a few glasses have been poured and the war stories start, you can bet there’ll be shrieks of laughter, theatrical reenactments, and the sort of outrageous jokes that never leave the room. Those moments of shared humour and understanding are incredibly grounding. They remind me that while our job might be unconventional, we’re still just women doing our best to navigate work, relationships, and everyday life.

A Window Into Our World

If you’re curious about some of the fun we have and the situations we find ourselves in, you can read more at theescortblog.com. It’s a little window into our world: the glamorous bits, the awkward mishaps, the emotional ups and downs, and all the messy, funny, human things that happen in between. My life may look simple from the outside – just ‘escort’ or ‘model’ – but the reality is far richer, full of stories that I’m only just beginning to tell.
