Winter Dates vs Summer Dates

“Are your outings different in winter than they are in summer?” a friend asked me recently. She works for an events company so obviously her work is different in winter. Instead of helping to organise festivals, picnics, weddings and other outdoor stuff often involving marquees, winters for her mean glamorous balls and corporate award evenings – often in the city’s best hotels and finest venues.

“Well,” I replied, “I guess I’m a bit like you. In the summer, work at the London Escort Agency means that I often find myself attending festivals and the odd wedding.”

She raised her eyes at that, the thought of someone taking an escort to a wedding. But y’know, sometimes people can feel really pressured into taking a partner to a wedding and it’s great to have an attractive companion on your arm especially if you aware that the bitter, twisted ex-wife is going to be there.

“It means that in winter I’m going to the glitter balls and awards nights too.”

This month there could hardly be more awards, with companies and organisations outdoing each other in corporate excess as they wine, dine and dish out gongs, platters and ornaments. It can be very entertaining going along to such events. Often, there are goodie bags, a lot of the time there are really witty speakers and of course I always get to eye up other women’s clothes. (And reflect that, more often than not, I’m the best-dressed female there.)

One of my clients through London Escort Agencies wants me to accompany him to his works awards evening next week. He’s been nominated for an award and I guess my role will be to celebrate with him if he wins, and sympathise if he loses. Either way, my special commiseration tactics should make him feel like a real winner anyway.
